Refund Policy

At Left Hand Thermal, we stand behind the quality of our work. This Refund Policy outlines how we handle payments, deposits, cancellations, and workmanship concerns. Our goal is to be straightforward and fair — the same way we approach every job.

1. Payment for Completed Services

Payment is due upon completion of service. By authorizing Left Hand Thermal to perform work, you agree to pay the agreed price upon completion. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.

Because our technicians invest time, labor, and expertise on every job, we do not issue cash refunds for completed service calls simply based on a change of mind or dissatisfaction with the diagnosis or recommendation.

2. Workmanship Guarantee

We take pride in the quality of every job we perform. If you believe there is a workmanship issue with a service we completed, please contact us within 30 days of the service date. We will:

  • Return to your home to assess the concern at no additional charge

  • Correct any confirmed workmanship deficiency at no cost to you

  • Work with you until the issue is resolved to a reasonable standard

This guarantee covers our labor and workmanship. It does not cover issues caused by pre-existing conditions, unrelated system failures, customer modifications, or normal wear and tear.

3. Deposits on Installations and Large Projects

For HVAC installations and larger project scopes, Left Hand Thermal requires a deposit prior to scheduling and ordering equipment. Deposit amounts will be clearly stated in your written estimate or proposal.

Deposit refund terms are as follows:

  • If you cancel before equipment or materials have been ordered, your deposit will be refunded in full.

  • If you cancel after equipment or materials have been ordered, the deposit may be partially or fully retained to cover restocking fees, return shipping, and any supplier charges incurred on your behalf.

  • Restocking fees vary by supplier and equipment type. We will provide you with documentation of any fees withheld from your deposit.

We will always communicate clearly before placing orders and will give you the opportunity to confirm your commitment before non-refundable costs are incurred.

4. Right to Cancel — 3 Business Days

For contracts signed at your residence, you have the right to cancel without penalty within three (3) business days of signing or authorizing the work. See our Terms and Conditions for full details on how to exercise this right.

If you cancel within the three-day window before any materials are ordered or work is performed, your deposit will be refunded in full.

5. Parts and Materials

Parts and materials that have been installed are not eligible for return or refund. Uninstalled parts that were ordered specifically for your job may be subject to supplier restocking fees if returned. We will communicate any applicable fees before processing a return.

6. Manufacturer Warranties

Equipment and parts installed by Left Hand Thermal may carry manufacturer warranties separate from our workmanship guarantee. Manufacturer warranty claims are handled directly with the manufacturer, though we will assist you in initiating a claim where possible. Manufacturer warranty terms vary by product and are outside of our control.

7. Billing Disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your invoice. We will review the charge and respond promptly. We are committed to fair and transparent pricing and will correct any billing errors without hesitation.

8. How to Contact Us

The explanations and information provided on this page are only general and high-level explanations and information on how to write your own document of a Refund Policy. You should not rely on this article as legal advice or as recommendations regarding what you should actually do, because we cannot know in advance what are the specific refund policies that you wish to establish between your business and your customers. We recommend that you seek legal advice to help you understand and to assist you in the creation of your own Refund Policy.

Refund Policy - the basics

Having said that, a Refund Policy is a legally binding document that is meant to establish the legal relations between you and your customers regarding how and if you will provide them with a refund. Online businesses selling products are sometimes required (depending on local laws and regulations) to present their product return policy and refund policy. In some jurisdictions, this is needed in order to comply with consumer protection laws. It may also help you avoid legal claims from customers that are not satisfied with the products they purchased.

What to include in the Refund Policy

Generally speaking, a Refund Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for asking for a refund; will the refund be full or partial; under which conditions will the customer receive a refund; and much, much more.
